BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir (also commonly known as the Neasden Temple) is a Hindu temple in Neasden, London, England. Built entirely using traditional methods and materials, the Swaminarayan mandir has been described as being Britain’s first authentic Hindu temple. It was also Europe’s first traditional Hindu stone temple.
Inspiration
The Temple Tour shares my love of India, and Indian Culture. London offers the opportunity to experience Indian Culture without having to travel to India.
Experience
We visit the temple, which is very welcoming of foreign visitors and children. We experience a short ceremony in the main hall and visit the Hinduism exhibition. We have a wonderful buffet meal, and then shop for some ingredients to finish the day.
We enjoy a journey to another world. Colourful culture, food and traditions for us to explore together.
